Laurel, semi-select. Sterilized. Bay (laurel) leaves add a subtle, savory, faintly floral depth to stocks, braises, sauces, and pickling brines. Whole leaves are removed before serving; cracked and ground bay let the flavor disperse fully in blends and manufactured products where leaf pieces are unwanted.
